BEST TREATMENT FOR ACNE

Acne (acne vulgaris), a disease of the hair follicles. It affects both males and females at puberty or adolescent age. It normally appears on the chest, face, and back. Acne cannot be triggered by a bacteria, but bacteria can play a role in its formation. Acne can be treated with some drugs or cosmetics available in pharmaceutical stores or cosmetic counters that do not require prescription.

CAUSES OF NIGHT SWEATS

Night sweats
This refers to excessive perspiration which occurs during the night. Notwithstanding, you may perspire during sleep as a result of hot bedroom or many bedclothes--- this is not unusual. There exist difference differences between night perspiration due to medical causes and sweats due to ones hot surroundings. Night sweating is fairly common.

HOW TO DEAL WITH INSOMNIA (LACK OF SLEEP)

This is an inability to catch or maintain sleep, or both. Daytime functioning may be impaired or rendered useless as a result. Insomnia is more common among adults although it affects all ages including children. It affects more women than men. There is a difference between insomnia and other similar conditions such as sleep deprivation and short duration sleep. Short duration sleep is when some requires less time to sleep, and this does not impair daytime functioning. Sleep deprivation is when voluntarily abstain from sleep due to one reason or the other such as lack of opportunity or time to sleep. Symptoms of insomnia include:

Causes and how to handle depression.

Biologically, susceptibility to depression can be inherited, so some types of depression run in families. This is often with especially with bipolar disorder or maniac depression.  Investigation into families in which members develop bipolar disorder shows that those with this condition will have a genetic makeup to an extent than those who do not become ill.
Nevertheless, the reverse is not usually true. Which means not everybody that have the genetic makeup that cause susceptibility to maniac depression or bipolar disorder will have the illness. A stressful environment can trigger bipolar disorder.
Major depression can run in families generation after generation, though is not as powerful as bipolar disorder. People who do not have family history of depression can also experience major depression. Episodes of depression may be triggered by these external occurrences: financial problem, serious loss, difficult relationship, not welcomed changes in life pattern. Environmental, genetic and psychological factors can also trigger episode of depression. These factors may cause depression in some people more than others depending on how individuals respond to depression. For example, people that are discriminated suffers depression more and also people of socioeconomic disadvantage will have increased rate of depression more than their advantage counterparts. Men appears to be prone to depression due to unemployment effects, low socioeconomic status, and divorce.  Women who has been emotionally, physically or sexually abused, both as a child or by their partner are susceptible to developing a depressive disorder also. Homosexuals are also prone to developing depressive disorder when they start lacking a domestic partner.
Certain medications are also more likely to cause depression mainly as a side effect. Such medications include medications used in the treatment of: blood pressure, cancer, seizures, chronic pain, and contraceptive drugs can cause depression. Some drugs used in treating psychiatric problems, medications that treats insomnia and anxiety can add in development of depression.
A number of mental health conditions and disabilities are also connected depression. Depression also appear to be associated with changes in brain serotonin and norepinephrine systems. These abnormalities does not cause depressive disorders rather they are associated with depressive disorders. Women are twice more likely to suffer depression than men.
According to research, it appears that stress due to maternity during pregnancy can result in rise in the chances that the child will be predispose depression as an adult, especially when there has been a genetic susceptibility. The mother’s circulating stress hormone can affect the development of the child’s brain during pregnancy. This will alter the fetus’ brain development thereby making the child to be prone to the risk of depression later in adulthood.  There is an ongoing research to describe how this happens.
Treatment of depressive disorders.
Different racial groups have the ways they react to treatment of depression and different side effects than others.
Antidepressant medications include:
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). These are medications which increases the level of neurochemical serotonin in the brain. Recall. Low brain serotonin level indicates depression. This drugs works by inhibition of serotonin uptake in the brain. The side effects include: diarrhea, agitation, nausea, insomnia, and headache. The side effects are usually mild. After the first month of usage these side effects will go away.
Dual-action antidepressant. These medications include: duloxetine (cymbalta), venlafaxine (effexor) and desvenlafaxine (pristiq). These medications are effective especially in treating severe and chronic depressive disorders.
Mirtazapine (remeron). It works in a different way from other types of drugs. The side effect is that it causes drowsiness. It is normally advised to be taken at night-time especially for people who suffer from insomnia.
Typical antidepressants. These include: nefazodone (serzone), and trazodone (desyrel). They can increase the level of some neurochemicals in the brain synapses and are effective in treating depression in many people.
Antipsychotic medicaitons. Which include: ziprasidone (geodon), quetipine (seroquel), and paliperidone (invega). They are effective in stabilizing moods and at times used in treating bipolar disorder, but must be combined with other antidepressants.
Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). This involves passing electric current through the brain to produce controlled convulsions or seizures. It is used in cases where the patient is not responding to antidepressant drugs and also when a patient wants to commit suicide. ECT can stop depression even after one or two weeks of using it. It is usually done under anesthesia so people won’t feel much pain. Side effects include: short-term memory loss that resolves rapidly.

Psychotherapies. This involves: to help patients find solution to their problems and also gain insights into their problems; helping the patient to change their negative ways of behaving and thinking that is connected to depression.

What causes depression and its symptoms?

Depression have been with man ever since the commencement of recorded history. David as well as Job suffered from this distress in the Bible. Depression was referred to as melancholia which means black bile by Hippocrates.
Depression which is also clinical depression was in the 19th century understood as inherited weakness of temperament. Freud in the 1st half of twentieth century connected the development of depression to guilt and conflict.
Depression was divided into two types in the mid part of the 20th century: endogenous and neurotic. Endogenous refers to depression that comes from within the body which may be of a genetic origin or unknown cause. Neurotic also called reactive depression originates from environmental hastening factors like loss of a relation or another related loss like loss of job.
A depressive disorder reflects a sad or irritable mood that exceeds grief or normal sadness. The sadness is characterized by greater intensity, time and more serious symptoms and functional disabilities than is normal. Some people have an inherited vulnerability to depression such as people with dipolar depression.
Some kind of depressive disorders affects like 10% adults, 8% teens and 2% of preteen children. Some people especially teenagers who suffer from depressive disorders can be predisposed to obesity.
According to medical studies depression can cause a rise in the risks for developing coronary artery disease, HIV, asthma, and many illness. Depression can also lead to death from these medical conditions. Elderly depression can be chronic and the recovery is difficult to achieve. Elderly men have a high rate of committing suicide especially whites.
Depression is usually treated insufficiently despite the clinical guides due to therapy treatment attempt. Three main types of depression:
Major depression. The symptoms this type of depression last for two weeks consecutively. It includes sad or irritable mood which disturbs sleep, ability to work, eat, and even enjoy your hobbies. Inability to sleep or eat can interfere with the body immune system.
Dysthymia. This type of depression lasts long compared to major depression, and also less severe. This depression prevents the person from functioning at “full steam” or from feeling good. Some people may also feel major depression combined with dysthymia. This is normally referred to as double-depression.
Bipolar disorder or maniac depression. This includes group of mood disorders called manic depression. This condition can be inherited or acquired. It’s often chronic and reoccurring. At times, this type of depression changes into dramatic and rapid, but most often gradual.
Mania usually alter the person’s thinking, judgment and social behavior in a manner that may cause serious problems and humiliation. Examples, unwise business or financial decisions or indiscriminate or unsafe sexual practices of the individual during this manic phase.
Symptoms of major or maniac depression:
Hopelessness feelings
not having pleasures and interest in hobbies once enjoyed,
feeling of excessive guilt,
persistent sadness and irritability,
social isolation,
lack of sleep,
early-morning awakening,
fatigue,
lack of appetite,
thought of deaths and suicide attempts,
restlessness,
difficulty in concentrating or recalling,
inability to make decisions,
physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment such as headache, digestive disorders and chronic pain.
Mania symptoms of maniac depression:
Increased talking speed and volume
Out of line irritability or anger
Intense insomnia
Inappropriate elation
Poor judgment
Unsuitable social behavior
Disconnected speech and thoughts
Intense rise in sexual desire
It is not everybody who is depressed shows the whole symptom.

HOW TO GET RID OF HEARTBURN

Heartburn
This is feeling of burning sensation or warmth in the chest. Heartburn is caused by stomach acid. Heartburn has nothing to do with the heart, the pain is felt in the chest. A persistent heartburn can be a symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease GERD. More complications like ulcer may occur due to severe heartburn. About 10% of adults experience heartburn everyday while 30% experience it once in a while. 25% of expectant mothers may have or any related symptoms.

The pain from heartburn is burning sensation felt in the chest. This burning sensation extend to jaw, throat, arms or back. At times heartburn can be mistaken chest pain. You are advised to seek medical attention as soon as suspect any chest pain for any cause.
Heartburn usually occurs 30 to 60minutes after meal and is usually referred to as acid indigestion. The ache becomes worse when you lie down, bend forward or strain to pass out stools. The ache stops when you stand upright, swallow saliva or water or when you take antacids.  Stomach acid usually affects the respiratory tract. It can cause asthma, sore throat or tooth damage. You may be feeling as if you have a lump in your throat. Persistent of the stomach acid for a long time can damage the esophagus. You may experience difficulty in swallowing. In a severe case, you may start vomiting blood or your stool may have small amounts of blood in it.
Causes
The food we swallow must pass through the esophagus then through esophageal sphincter before getting to the stomach. This esophageal sphincter prevents food from getting back into the esophagus. Then in the stomach, the stomach acid digests the food. This acid is so strong that it can damage many of the body parts or organs. The stomach has a special mucous membrane that protects it from the attack of this acid. The esophagus does not have this protection. So if the esophageal sphincter does not close completely, the lower part of the esophagus may be damaged by this acid. We experience heartburn as a result of this. The stomach acid may enter into the esophagus because, certain foods and drinks may loosen the lower esophageal sphincter. These foods include: spicy foods, citrus fruits, tomatoes, fatty foods, chocolates, peppermint, caffeine-contained beverages, cigarette smoking and alcohol. Heartburn may also depend on how you position your body. Stomach acid may easily flow back into the esophagus when you lie down or bend over. Anything that forces stomach acid back into the esophagus due increased pressure on the stomach can cause heartburn. These includes: coughing, lifting, obesity, straining, tight clothing, and pregnancy (can worsen heartburn). People that suffer from diabetes, hernia may have increased chance of heartburn. Certain drugs like aspirin and ibuprofen may increase the risk of heartburn.
Treatment
Some people chew chalk to ease heartburn. Chalk contains calcium carbonate which helps in stopping heartburn.

Antacids. They can be liquid or tablet type. Liquid type are more powerful faster in acting when neutralizing the stomach acids than tablet antacid. Most over-the-counter antacids do not prevent the heartburn from coming back. So, consult your health provider if you want antacids that may last for two weeks.  Antacids that contains calcium carbonates are the most potent. They neutralizes stomach acids faster. The best time to take these drugs are after meal & during bedtime or when symptoms shows up.

KNOW MORE ABOUT GONORRHEA

Gonorrhea
This is a highly sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by a bacterial infection. It is sometimes referred to as clap. The nickname ‘clap’ means the treatment which involves draining of pus form the urethra, whereby the penis is ‘clapped’ at both sides at the same time. Gonorrhea involves a thick discharge from the vagina or penis. Gonorrhea may survive in the eyes, throat, blood, skin, penis, vagina, mouth, rectum and joints. Gonorrhea spreads during having unprotected sex with an infected person through vaginal fluids or semen. It also spreads through anal sex, oral sex, vaginal sex, sharing sex toys, close physical contacts & touching the private parts or the eyes with fingers, and from mother to her child during childbirth.
You cannot contract it through simple kissing and sharing of baths, towels, toilet seats, spoons or cups.
Symptoms of gonorrhea in men include: white, yellow or green discharge from the tip of the penis; pain or burning sensation during urination; urethral itching and inflammation of the testicles and prostate gland. Symptoms in women include: strong smelling of vaginal discharge that may be watery or thick and yellow/green; pain or burning sensation during urination; frequent urination; painful and abnormal vaginal bleeding; and low abdominal pain coupled with nausea. About half of the women with gonorrhea have no symptoms at all. About one tenth of men having it shows no symptoms.
This disease is caused by the proliferation and growth of a bacteria called Neisseria gonorrheae. This disease can transmitted through any type of contact sexually. Someone may spread the bacteria to any part of his/her body like through; rubbing his or her eye thereby spreading the infection unknowingly. This can slowdown the treatment period.
Treatment
Antibiotics is used in treating gonorrhea because it is bacterial infection. These antibiotics may be taken orally or through injection. Sexual activities are strictly prohibited until one has finished his undergoing prescribed treatments. That one feels better does not mean the infection is no more. So there is need to notify anyone the infected person had contact with in the past month about the infection..
Use condom always. It does not only reduces your chances of contracting gonorrhea but also the chances of contracting other sexually transmitted diseases. These infections are most common among the promiscuous. Consult a medical professional if you are suspecting you or your partner may have been infected with gonorrhea. Abstain from sex until you meet the medial personal.
