HEALTH BENEFITS OF GRAPES


Health benefits of grapes


Grapes invigorate the heart and improve blood flow. They contain mainly sugars and B complex vitamins. They also contain antioxidants which hinders the oxidation of cholesterol. Grapes are one of the richest fresh fruits in iron. They are capable of dilating the blood vessels, improve blood flow without forming clots, and hinder the deposition of cholesterol on arterial walls.

Red wine (not white wine) also exerts the same actions since it retains some of the active substances present in grapes. However, grapes and grapefruit juice are far better than red wines as protectors of cardiovascular system; wines contain a toxin ethanol that the body must eliminate from the blood by burning it in the liver. Red wine also contains few sugars and vitamins needed by the heart, compared to natural grapes or grape juices which have them in large quantities.
