health hazards of alcohols

Foods to be taken with caution (alcohol)

Alcohol and alcoholic beverages reduces the liver’s ability to function. It is associated with higher risk of cirrhosis (irreversible liver damage).
They give a sense of power but in reality they diminish physical strength and capacity.
Women who takes alcoholic beverages, even in small amounts, are at higher risk of breast cancer and other disorders.
Alcohol intakes, as well as coffee increases calcium loss through urine which promotes osteoporosis and possible bone fracture.
Alcohol consumption by pregnant women can cause premature births, low birth weight, immature placentas and general mental retardations in the new born.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
·         If you do take alcohol, drink it moderately (may be 2-3 glasses a week).
·         The best recommendation I can give you is abstinence. The risk involve in alcohol consumption are far greater than the benefits.
